Discussion

  1. David Wilkinson :

As a Texans fan, I just hope they don’t panic and reach for a wide receiver in the first round who isn’t a first-round talent. Mohamed Sanu may fall into that category. This is a very deep draft for wide receiver.

  2. Will :

I definitely understand the argument. Sanu may be a reach, but he has put himself in the top tier of the WR group this year. The thing with Sanu is that at the very least I think he can be a very good number 2 WR, and I think he has the upside to be a number 1 eventually. Only time will tell, and with this deep receiver class they may have a late round target that they think they can develop. I know this isn’t my mock, just thought I would offer my two cents

  3. Abe :

Titans need to pick up Peter Konz in the 1st round, it would free Amano to move back to guard and that would take care of two positions. As for rounds 2-3 CB, S, WR and OLB are all needs but I think taking the best talent is always the smart thing to do as long as the player fits the system.

    • Will :

Have you been reading my Mock Abe? Very good point, and I hope the Titans front office sees it this way too. I would go, C, DE, OLB, OG, S. But I would try my best to get a decent DE in free agency that way it makes the choice easier on draft day

  4. Steve :

Browns aren’t too bad at TE. They have Watson, Moore (signed a nice contract last year), Alex Smith (they like him) and took a developmental basketball player in Jordan Cameron in last years draft. If they need a back James is here and I like WRs Marvin Jones and Devier Posey in the third or fourth round.

    • Steve :

      You have I suggest
      4 QB RG3 QB RG3
      22 RB Miller OT Adams
      37 OT Sanders DE Curry
68 TE Charles WR Marvin Jones

    • Anonymous :

Jones in the 3rd would be an absolute steal for the Browns. He led Cal in receiving his sophomore and junior years before Keenan Allen stepped up last year. The guy has fantastic hands and can make a play in traffic. I’ve seen him catch a ball one-handed with a CB tackling him before the ball even got there.

  5. Steelersrock :

About as good a draft as possible for the Steelers, barring a massive fall by someone like DeCastro. thank you for not mocking A) a running back (have a ton, and won’t be looking to replace Mendenhall); B) a cornerback (#1 pass defense, and two rookie corners from last year with a ton of upside); or 3) a 5’8″ wide receiver to replace Wallace, who isn’t close to gone yet. See those, along with first round defensive ends, and pretty much want to throw the mock out the window. But you got arguably BPA and position of need with both 1 and 2, and postiion of need with BPA at the position in round 3.

  6. David Wilkinson :

I don’t see the Texans taking Billy Winn in any round. He has the reputation of playing hard only when he feels like it, and the Texans usually shy away from that type of player.

  7. Frank :

Niners need to upgrade their receiving corps…no problem w/Jeffery, but taking him kind of depends on what FA they sign. If Fleener’s there at #30, I wouldn’t bet against him being the pick. He was recruited by Harbaugh, understands his offense and could be productive immediately. Puzzled at the Josh Norman pick…didn’t see him in top 30 CB’s. Pretty sure they’ll draft one…goal is to re-sign Rogers, who already stated he’ll sign for hometown discount. If not, they’re comfortable promoting Chris Culliver into a starting role. They have two other young CB’s they’re high on, so CB isn’t a big issue. Like the Nix pick…Snyder did ok at RG last year after taking over from Rachal. He’s a UFA, so makes sense to draft an OG of starting caliber.

  8. Anthony R :

  9. Bob :

Broncos really need a DT and I think Cox would be great. Also like Doug Martin in the second, he would be a perfect fit for a John Fox scheme. However I think since RB’s are not in as much demand as in years past, they may go with a DB here and hope some RB quality may slide into the third……..who knows, good mock anyway!

  10. journalist :

Iowa State CB is Leonard Johnson. Trumaine Johnson is the kid from Montana. fyi

  11. hinkleyhick :

Judie does not fit the Packer scheme, especially in the third round. Judie doesn’t play press coverage well. TT likes CBs who can cover M-T-M. Judie struggled even against very weak competition in man coverage. Look for the Pack to go after a center in the third round

  12. steelersrock :

I was so happy last time that you didn’t pick a rb or cb for the steelers, so what do you go and change your draft to? 2nd corner, 3rd rb. do you just hate me?

  13. Steve :

You have the Browns going RB, WR, RB, QB.

  14. DaveWilk :

Hey, here’s a thought. How about getting your mock up-to-date to reflect the Texans-Eagles DeMeco Ryans trade??
