Mike Adams NFL Draft | OT Ohio St.

Name: Mike Adams
Ideal Position: Left/Right Tackle
Measurements: 6-7 320 lbs
School: Ohio State

-Going into some film study of Adams I was prepared to give him a second round grade but looking at him now he could crack the top 16. Great physical tools and solid technician

-Against JJ Watt, who is a stand out in the NFL this year,  he dominated. Got underneath Watt and bullied him. Great hand placement, constantly punching without losing contact. Very impressive.

-Does a great job of digging people out and pushing ends to the boundaries. Stays low for his frame and explodes into DEs and LBs. Very fun to watch.

-Has quick first steps in pass pro, and can give a very clean pocket. Can be slow to mirror defenders, after the initial rush, but does a good job with punching defenders of their marks.

-Great down blocker, shows he can get underneath the shoulder pad and drive the defender wherever he wants to take them

-Has fought the best defense ends week after week and has held up very well. Great job defending against rips and bull rushes, however great spin moves will beat him

-While he is a good pocket protector, he may be better suited for the right side because he is a much better run blocking

-Very impressed with Adams and I think he could start at either right of left tackle next year. Anywhere from 10-48 pick. Possible destinations: St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Miami, Buffalo.

About Will Lomas

Grew up in a town in Tennessee named Dyersburg, and played ball there. When I realized I was too small to play college ball, I found my passion in breaking down game film, analyzing athletes, and finding the little things that decides whether a player is good, bad, or great.
