Remember ole Joey Harrington from Oregon?
After a stellar career at Oregon, where he passed for nearly 7000 yards and 59 touchdowns, the Detroit Lions made Joey Harrington the third overall pick in the 2002 NFL draft. He played for the Lions from 2002 through 2005, before being traded to the Miami Dolphins before the 2006 season to back up Daunte Culpepper. Culpepper suffered a shoulder injury and Joey ended up starting 11 games that season, winning five of them. He moved his services to the Atlanta Falcons the following season, where he started twelve games in place of the suspended Michael Vick. After signing and being released with the Saints several times in the 2008 season, Harrington finally decided to retire. He finished his NFL career with 79 touchdowns to 85 interceptions, and 14,693 passing yards.
Where is he now?
So where is he now? After retiring from professional football, Joey moved back to the Portland area with his wife Emily and son Jack, where he spends a lot of time with his charities and has done some broadcasting for the Oregon Ducks for FOX. He even managed to get hit by a car on his bicycle in July of 2011, but suffered no injuries.
