Chris Polk NFL Draft | RB Washington

Chris Polk
Running Back
5-11 222 lbs.
Washington

-Polk is a bigger RB that has said he will run a 4.4 40. For a guy with his size and strength, a 4.4 40 would be huge.

-Runs straight through arm tackles, he plays too powerfully and low for that.

-Very good at pass protection. If no extra blitzers comes he will chip the end man on the LoS and go out as an outlet receiver which is smart.

-Very good cutback skills. Does a good job sucking defenders in before cutting to the outside.

-Washington’s offensive line was poor this year, so many times his runs were him making something out of nothing.

-Sees holes open up very well and knows when it is time to give up on the play and take what you can get.

-Patient runner that waits for a play to develop.

-Polk should be a productive back in year one. He is not dynamic a homerun threat but he can pull away if defenders take bad angles. I can see him stepping into a starting role from day one. I think he is a step below Richardson, but definitely on the same level with Miller, just a different type of back. Late 1st – 2nd. Possible destinations: Denver, St. Louis, NYG, Kansas City.

About Will Lomas

Grew up in a town in Tennessee named Dyersburg, and played ball there. When I realized I was too small to play college ball, I found my passion in breaking down game film, analyzing athletes, and finding the little things that decides whether a player is good, bad, or great.
