Outhouse NFL Mock Draft | Version 1.0

Updated Jan 30th, 2012

First official Outhouse mock of the season. As of now just a quick one rounder to wet your appetite. Check back in coming weeks as Outhouse plans to add additional rounds.

1. Indianapolis Colts – Andrew Luck QB, Stanford – Pretty much a lock for the Colts to add a little Luck to their team, with or without Peyton Manning.

2. St Louis Rams  – Justin Blackmon WR, Oklahmoa State – The Rams have spent a lot of Time & money on their O-Line in the past few drafts, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they grabbed Kalil here, but I see them trying to trade down a few spots or grabbing the highly touted Blackmon.

3. Minnesota Vikings – Matt Kalil OT, USC – The Vikings would be lucky to have the luxury of getting Kalil with the number three pick.  If he’s gone, expect them to grab Blackmon or try to trade down.

4. Cleveland Browns – Robert Griffin III QB, Baylor – Speaking of trades, the Browns are the one most likely to move up to make sure they get their man, RG3.  It’s pretty much a given that he’d come in on year one and put Colt McCoy on the bench.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Morris Claiborne CB, LSU – The Bucs need work on offense, but have a great young nucleus on their defense.  They keep adding to it by bringing in Claiborne.

6. Washington Redskins – Ryan Tannehill QB, Texas A&M – If the Redskins can’t trade up, and the top two QB studs are gone, don’t be surprised if they reach for Tannehill in the six spot. A reach…..yes, but look at how many of last years quarterbacks made an impact in their rookie season.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars – Quinton Coples DE, North Carolina – The Jaguars continue to be horrible at getting to the quarterback, so I continue to have them drafting someone that will help them cure that problem.

8. Carolina Panthers – Dre Kirkpatrick CB, Alabama – The Panthers have other needs, and may opt for a less risky pick, but teams seem to ignore some of the off field issues and rely on skill alone, which Kirkpatrick has plenty.

9. Miami Dolphins – Riley Reiff OT, Iowa – The Dolphins have free agency questions on the right side of their line, but would have an answer by bringing in Reiff.

10. Buffalo Bills – Jonathan Martin OT, Stanford – The Bills came out of the gate fast last year, but they showed down the stretch that they’re still a couple pieces away from making a legitimate run.  Martin could be a big part of shoring up the O-Line, one of their biggest weaknesses.

11. Kansas City Chiefs – Trent Richardson RB, Alabama – Yes the Chiefs already have Charles, but he’s coming off a serious injury, and you can never have enough good running backs in today’s NFL.

12. Seattle Seahawks – Devon Still DT, Penn State – Other than quarterback, the Seahawks have invested a lot in their offense the past few years, which is why they need bring in Still to start an upgrade on the other side of the ball.

13. Arizona Cardinals – Courtney Upshaw LB, Alabama – Not the Cardinals top need, but with Martin, Reiff, & Kalil off the board, it would be hard to pass on a stud like Upshaw.

14. Dallas Cowboys – Luke Kuechly LB, Boston College – The Cowboys offense is in pretty good shape, but their defense needs some serious help, and that is where Kuechly comes in.  Even as a rookie, he’s the type of player that can come in and run this defense.

15. Philadelphia Eagles – Mark Barron S, Alabama – Safety isn’t always a hot option in the top half of the first round, but the Eagles have been in need of one since Brian Dawkins left town, & Barron is the cream of the crop this year.

16. New York Jets – Melvin Ingram DE, South Carolina – The Jets took a big step backwards last year, so it’s time they get back to what made them so good, their defense.  They had a hard time getting to the quarterback last year but grabbing Ingram should be able to up their sack total.
