Ranking the 2012 Fantasy Football Rookies

Below are the top 10 rookies whom I see contributing in their first year. This has nothing to do with long term success in the NFL. Rankings are based only on fantasy value in their rookie year.

1. Trent Richardson | RB | Browns
In my mind Richardson is hands down the best rookie option when it comes to fantasy this year. Will get a ton of touches each game, as long as his body can hold up should be a viable option as a number 1 back.

2. Doug Martin | RB | Bucs
Martin unlike Richardson has some competition to hold off at running back. With Blount still in the mix Martin could be limited at least at the begining of the year.

3. Kendall Wright | WR | Titans
Wright being the burner that he is should see a handful of long touchdowns in his rookie year. Has playmaking ability to put up possibly the best numbers out of the rookie receivers.

4. Robert Griffin III | QB | Redskins
Dynamic quarterback who will be getting points with his legs and arm. His dual threat easily makes him the top rookie quarterback fantasy wise.

5. Michael Floyd | WR | Cardinals
Floyd gets the nod at number 5 mostly due to the receiver playing opposite him. Floyd should have every chance to shine as a rookie as long as he has a quarterback who can get him the ball.

6. Rueben Randle | WR | Giants
With Nicks injury and losing Manningham to free agency Randle has all the chance in the world to make an impact early. I don’t think it will take to long for Manning to get Randle involved.

7. Andrew Luck | QB | Colts
Luck will be the golden boy of rookies this year. I think he will constantly put up good numbers, not great, in his rookie year. I see a mixture of solid numbers with a very good game mixed in now and then.

8. Justin Blackmon | WR | Jaguars
I don’t give Blackmon as much love due to his quarterback situation. Look for Blackmon to have a few big games but I see alot inconsistency for Blackmon during his rookie year.

9. Coby Fleener | TE | Colts
Should be the Colts starting tight end from day 1. Fleener and Luck are no strangers to each other and I look for them to continue their college success into the pros.

10. Mohamed Sanu | WR | Bengals
Sanu joins an already up and coming Bengals offense. With AJ Green taking most of the heat Sanu should be able to get his hands on quite a few balls as a rookie.

Just missed: AJ Jenkins, David Wilson, Alshon Jeffery, Lamar Miller, Greg Childs, Stephen Hill
