Plan of Attack:  The Titans headed into the offseason with three major areas of need, Guard, Defensive End, and Cornerback.  They’ve addressed guard with the signing of Steve Hutchinson (who is a shell of his former self), and end in Kamerion Wimbley, so their focus with the 20th pick could be on a corner.  There is a good chance either Dre Kirkpatrick or Stephon Gilmore could be around.  They need a youngling to replace Cortland Finnegan and both of these guys are bigger sized corners with good speed and ball awareness.  If they are both gone then the Titans will shift their focus to pass rusher, and could target Whitney Mercilus, Nick Perry, or Coples and Upshaw if one of the two were to fall.

If the Titans get their corner in the first round then round two should be all about getting some pass rushing depth.  They would love to see Marshall’s Vinny Curry on the board.  Curry is a bit of a tweener but should be fine playing with his hand in the dirt. He has a quick get off and a motor that just won’t quit.  If Curry is gone then they could look for a guard.  As mentioned before, Steve Hutchinson isn’t what he used to be as age and injuries have caught up to him, so a big mauler like Kelechi Osemele would be a fine choice, as would Amini Silatolu or Kevin Zeitler.

If the Titans get a corner, then guard in round 2, they could go with a pass rusher in the third.  Boise St.’s Tyrone Crawford or Miami’s Oliver Vernon are two guys they could look at.  If they already have the rusher then guards they could target would be Joe Looney or James Brown.  Some other positions the team could use an early pick on would be wide receiver and safety.  They have some solid pass catchers in Kenny Britt, Damian Williams, and Lavelle Hawkins but a little more depth would be nice.  Targets in round 3 could be Juron Criner, Nick Toon, Chris Givens, or Ryan Broyles.  They could also use a young safety, and would be tempted by Philip Thomas or South Carolina’s Antonio Allen if he began to slide.
