Lups Round 3 (Picks 65-81)

65. Indinapolis Colts – Josh Chapman NT, Alabama
The Colts need a nose for their new 3-4 and take this big ol beast to fill that role.

66. St. Louis Rams – LaMichael James RB, Oregon
Steven Jackson has been ridden hard and put away super wet.  LaMichael would be a nice compliment and could eventually take over the majority of the carries in St. Louis.

67. Minnesota Vikings – Brandon Taylor S, LSU
The Vikings have the worst group of safeties pretty much in the history of the NFL.  Taylor can hopefully be a solid player, hell I’d even settle for average at this point.

68. Cleveland Browns - Mitchell Schwartz OT, CAL
The Browns go offense for the 4th straight time getting a man to lock down the right side of their line.

69. Tampa Bay Bucs – Bobby Wagner LB, Utah St.
The Bucs tried to land Curtis Lofton but failed.  Wagner is a talented backer who should live up to his third round billing in year one.

70. Washington Redskins – Amini Silatolu G, Midwestern St.
The Skins need help at guard and get a guy from a college I’ve never even heard of.

71. Jacksonville Jaguars – Trumaine Johnson CB, Montana
The Jags secondary needs an infusion of talent and they feel fortunate to find a fine corner on the board.

72. Buffalo Bills – Orson Charles TE, Georgia
The Bills like Scott Chandler in the endzone but they’ll find Orson can be a viable option anywhere on the field.

73. Miami Dolphins – Nick Toon WR, Wisconsin
The Phins could use more weapons in the passing game and Toon is a borderline first round talent when healthy.

74. Miami Dolphins (from Chicago From Carolina) – Jeff Allen G, Illinois
The Phins take a guard here and now move John Jerry to right tackle and suddenly their offensive line looks damned formidable.

75. Kansas City Chiefs - Jamell Fleming CB, Oklahoma
The Chiefs go with some rookie depth at corner.

76. Seattle Seahawks – Chris Rainey RB, Florida
Here is my surprise third round pick.  The Seahawks just reupped Lynch but Rainey can be used in so many ways.  He is extremely fast and dynamic with the ball in his hands.  Would be a great third down back with kick return ability.

77. Houston Texans (from Philadelphia) – Bruce Irvin OLB, West Virginia
Don’t know if you’ve heard or not but Mario Williams signed with Buffalo so some more pass rushers are needed in Houston even if they have some character issues.

78. New York Jets – Jonathan Massoquoi OLB, Troy
The Jets would love to get another pass rusher and landing Massoquoi in the third would be a fine get.

79. Oakland Raiders – Terelle Pryor QB, Ohio St.
Raiders used this pick last summer, and their fans wish they hadn’t.

80. San Diego Chargers – Tommy Streeter WR, Miami
The Chargers have to get some more weapons for Rivers and Streeter can be groomed slowly after the recent additions of Meachem and Royal.

81. Chicago Bears – Cam Johnson DE, Virginia
The Bears want a pass rusher opposite Peppers and have to settle for this Senior Bowl standout.
