Thursday Morning Guest NFL Mock Draft

First Guest Mock Draft of the Year is presented by none other than Rick Hogenson. Feast your eyes below for all of it’s glory, it has a flurry of trades, which I must admit I overly enjoy! Be sure to tune in next week for our next Guest Mock.

March 1st, 2012

1. Colts – Andrew Luck QB, Stanford
Colts fans rejoice and hang banners around Lucas Oil Stadium that say:  “We have LUCK MANNING our ship now; thank you PEYTON!”

2. *TRADE* – Browns – Robert Griffin III QB, Baylor
A new toy for CLEVELAND, now to figure out who the hell is gonna run the ball.  Oh wait RGIII is!

3. Vikings – Matt Kalil OT, USC
Viking fans go crazy…not since 1998 have they gotten  the player they truly wanted in the draft!

4. *TRADE* – Rams – Justin Blackmon WR, Oklahoma St.
St. Louis gets there guy and stock piles draft picks for 2012 and 2013.  Sam Bradford breathes a huge sigh of relief…because the Rams traded out of the #2 pick and he still has a job.

5. Bucs – Morris Claiborne CB, LSU
Tampa Bay finally gets another DB who can cover…now they hope that their other is still on the field in 2012.

6. Redskins – Riley Reiff OT, Iowa
Shanahan is a run first guy, so the pick makes sense to him…the fans would like to see a RB who can run.

7. Jaguars – Quinton Coples DE, North Carolina
Work ethic questions or not…31 sacks in 2011 just don’t cut it!

8. Dolphins – Ryan Tannehill QB, Texas A&M
Matt Moore relegated to back up duty…who would have guessed.

9. Panthers – Michael Brockers DT, LSU
A no brainer after the Combine performance…a push up the middle is so important and the Panthers get a great one!

10. Bills – Dre Kirkpatrick CB, Alabama
Yep…they need a DB!

11. Chiefs – David DeCastro G, Stanford
He is gonna make huge holes for a boy named Jamaal.

12. Seahawks – Zach Brown LB, North Carolina
Seriously, what don’t the Seahawks need?

13. Cardinals – Mike Adams OT, Ohio St.
Adams and Levi Brown will combine to be two of the best tackles in the game.

14. Cowboys – Janoris Jenkins CB, North Alabama
Terrance Newman can’t cover anymore…oh wait he never could.

15. *TRADE* Bengals – Trent Richardson RB, Alabama
A new horse in town…to go with DALTON and GREEN.  Look out!

16. Jets – Nick Perry LB, USC
A pass rusher on the JETS…I though the GIANTS of NEW YORK had all of them.

17. *TRADE* Eagles – Devon Still DT, Penn St.
Big Man in the middle…who doesn’t want one.

18. Chargers – Jonathan Martin OT, Stanford
The release of Marcus McNeil is no longer a big deal…SOD!

19. Bears – Michael Floyd WR, Notre Dame
Who didn’t see this pick coming?

20. Titans – Melvin Ingram DE, South Carolina
A lot of high quality DE’s on the board…the Titans hope they picked the right one.

21. Bengals – Whitney Mercilus DE, Illinois
Time to focus on the other side of the ball.  A great one they get!

22. *TRADE* Rams – Dontari Poe DT, Memphis
Like I said earlier…who doesn’t want a big man in the middle.

23. Lions – Cordy Glenn G, Georgia
They get their 2011 1st Round Pick as well…and they are gonna score…a lot!

24. Steelers – Kelechi Osemele G, Iowa St.
Yep they need OL help…real, real bad.

25. Broncos – Jerel Worthy DT, Michigan St.
Not sure about the offense, but the D is gonna be pretty sweet.

26. Texans – Kendall Wright WR, Baylor
They have been successful only having one WR for years.  Gonna be fun to see what they can do with two

27. Patriots (from Saints) – Luke Kuechly LB, Boston College
The Pats take their pick in round 1 and get a “player”.

28. Packers – Alfonzo Dennard CB, Nebraska
No need to go offense…let’s get a DB!

29. Ravens – Dont’a Hightower LB, Alabama
Eventually it is gonna happen and Ray Lewis is gonna retire.

30. 49ers – Alshon Jeffery WR, South Carolina
They can’t throw too Vernon Davis all the time…can they?

31. Patriots – Stephon Gilmore CB, South Carolina
They keep this one too…and are looking a lot better on the defensive side of the ball.

32. Giants – Dwayne Allen TE, Clemson
Not because they want too…because they have too.

Discussion

  1. Tickler :

Levi Brown and Mike Adams would be a great combo??? Sir have you been drinking?

  2. Toddler :

I would have to agree, Levi Brown is a stud! Wish the Vikings would have taken him years ago

  3. 19 Reps :

Pretty sure Mike Adams couldn’t even make the THHS 500 Club.
